Welcome to Oslo GC

Our history
Oslo Golf club, founded 1924, is the oldest golf club in Norway. Except for the 2nd World War period, when people grew potatoes and other vegetables on the course, we have been playing golf here ever since. The original area for golf has been changed several times. Todays lay-out was originated in 1975 with a minor alteration during the course refurbishment in 2008. As we are the only 18-hole course within the Oslo city limits, keen golfers frequently play our course. +30.000 rounds every season, which lasts from May to mid October.
The course
The course is beautifully located alongside Lake Bogstad. The par 72 championship course, measuring approximately 6300 meters from the back tee has a truly unike design with long par 3s and water coming into play on several holes. The view of the waterfall next to the 12th green is quite rare. Players who prefer a shorter course have 6 shorter tee options varying from 6100 to 4100 meters. The series of par 3s, 4s and 5s are enyoyable and challenging for all categories of golfers.
After many years of wear and tear we closed the course in 2008 for a total reconstruction. The short story: we biult a new copurse on top of the old one. Steve Forrest (Forrest & Hills) designed the course, MS Golf did the work with the help of our staff. With tripple drainage, fully automated water irrigation system, sub-air under all greens, sand capped fairways, «sportcrete» in all bunkers, bent gras on greens, tees and fairways, our new couse is among Europe’s most technologically advanced. We never close due to rain. The work was done in record time and we reopened in may 2009. The feedback is unanimously overwhelming from members as well as guests.
Other Information
The old club house did not complement the course. Our members voted in 2018 to build a new club house to do so. The old house was torn down and todays great club house was opened in march 2020. We have all year activity including a restaurant and six indoor golf simulators.
